Elevating and Celebrating                                            Sheraton Tampa

Effective Teachers and Teaching                                              East

This year we will hold three events:

                October 15th, November 12th, January 29th

You asked and we responded!  This year's event will be differentiated by level.  Our first and last events will be for elementary teachers and our Novemeber event will be for middle and high school teachers.  This will allow for more in depth discussions of what works for students at each developmental level.

Each school will send a team of three to the conference: a teacher with some leadership responsibilities, a budding teacher leader, and and administrater.  The three will work together to develop a shared leadership plan to move your school communities forward!

Plenary Sessions

There will be a whole group session centered around helping teams analyze their action plans, update the plans, and discuss implementation strategies.  This session will be lead by our MC, Woodrow Samuel from  the Florida Education Association.

Colleague Circles

Strategic problem solving groups. You will be placed with others from your region and grade level and with a leader at your table you will share strategies and stories to help broaden your professional network and gain insight from other educational professionals.

Teacher Leader Stories

Throughout the day you will hear from educators who will help remind us all why we choose to work with kids and how our daily roles and jobs can greatly and postively impact others.

Breakout Sessions

Everyone will cycle through the three breakout sessions which highlight areas of lesson planning from digging into the standards for your students, desinging and implements checks of student understanding, and reflecting on the learning to adjust future lessons.
